AveU Renovation and Addition
A thoughtful renovation and rear addition turned this dated bungalow into a bright, functional family home.
The redesign opened a dark kitchen and dining area with a rear extension, mudroom, and powder room.
Large rear windows, a skylight above the island, and a new interior window bring in light and connect the space to the living room.
Careful planning preserved the backyard, met tight setbacks, and maximized space.
The new mudroom improves backyard access and adds practical storage.
Within the original footprint, back-to-back bathrooms added a convenient ground-floor powder room, while the main bath was reconfigured and brightened with a solar tube.
Pale greys, veined stone, quartz, warm wood, and aquamarine accents give the interior a fresh, luminous feel.
