Renovation + Addition
To accommodate a growing family, we converted an existing three-bedroom bungalow into a four-bedroom bungalow with a new mudroom.
The clients loved the neighbourhood that they were living in and couldn’t find a bungalow that could accommodate their growing family. I devised a design that divided an existing under-utilised four-car garage into a two-car garage with a new master bedroom suite. With minimal impact on the backyard and the overall look of the house from the street, we added another bedroom at the back of the house to accommodate a new bedroom. As a bonus, the clients got a great playroom in the basement.
The overall flow of the house was improved with the addition of a mudroom directly connected to the garage and a central hallway that connected all existing and new bedrooms.
