RAIC Urban Marker Competition

 

A submission for the Urban Marker Competition of 2017.

 

The urban marker competition was looking for a temporary visual marker that would signal and celebrate events and locations of the RAIC Festival of Architecture occurring in Ottawa.

 

The design needed to be easy to assemble and transport around different locations in Ottawa, and withstand extreme weather conditions throughout the year.

I took a unique approach with the design of the marker and incorporated my personal philosophy on movement and the embodiment of space through movement.
